The Brazilian producer who took Brazilian bass around the world.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Alok's world.
Alok made Brazilian bass a genre in its own right on the international circuit.
Coming from a family of DJs (his parents are trance pioneers in Brazil), Alok broke through in 2016 with "Hear Me Now". His sound — a warm, groovy deep/tech house with pronounced basslines, dubbed Brazilian bass — has lifted him year after year to the top of the world DJ rankings. Very vocal on social and environmental issues, he plays big formats with accessible, melodic sets.
