A member of Swedish House Mafia, one of the most respected figures of Swedish progressive house.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Axwell's world.
A founding member of Swedish House Mafia, Axwell remains one of the most respected figures of Swedish house.
Born Axel Hedfors in Lund in 1977, Axwell grew up playing drums before turning to electronic production in the late 1990s, quickly noticed in the Swedish house scene.
In 2008, he formed the supergroup Swedish House Mafia with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, which in a few years brought progressive house to the world's biggest stages, from Ibiza to stadiums.
In parallel, his solo career produced hits like "In My Mind" and "I Found You", followed by a spell as a duo with Sebastian Ingrosso (Axwell Λ Ingrosso) that scored with "Sweet Dreams".
Discreet off stage but formidable behind the decks, he remains one of the most respected figures of Swedish house, between Swedish House Mafia nostalgia and solo projects that are still active.
