The group that fused hip-hop and electronic pop to dominate the charts of the 2000s and 2010s.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Black Eyed Peas's world.
Black Eyed Peas went from low-key alternative hip-hop to the most effective stadium pop of their era, under the direction of will.i.am.
Formed in Los Angeles in the 1990s, the trio (will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo) hit a turning point in 2003 with the arrival of Fergie and the album "Elephunk". "Monkey Business" followed, then "The E.N.D." (2009) and its global hits "I Gotta Feeling" and "Boom Boom Pow".
The group was among the first to bring electronic music massively into mainstream pop. After Fergie's departure, it returned to themes closer to its early days and keeps touring and collaborating (notably with Shakira and J Balvin on the Latin market).
On stage, Black Eyed Peas run through their hits with choreography and energy — a festival set calibrated to get 100,000 people dancing.
