The British champions of extreme power metal, carried by guitar solos that have become legendary.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape DragonForce's world.
With ultra-fast solos and fantasy lyrics, DragonForce invented its own genre: extreme power metal.
Formed in London in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, DragonForce quickly made its name with tracks of unprecedented speed, mixing power metal, retro video game influences and fantasy lyrics.
Their track "Through the Fire and Flames" (2006), made cult by the video game Guitar Hero III, became one of the most recognisable metal tracks of its generation and propelled the band onto the international scene.
Over the years the lineup has evolved, notably with singer Alissa White-Gluz (also a member of Arch Enemy) joining on co-vocals, bringing a new dimension to the band's songs.
On stage, DragonForce stays true to its formula: extreme speed, endless solos and an energy that has made the band an undisputed favourite of metal festivals around the world.
