The Liverpool technician who turned the mix itself into a spectacle.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape James Hype's world.
James Hype made his name as much through his tech house productions as through his virtuosity behind the decks.
A DJ from Liverpool who went through years of clubs before recognition, James Marsland broke through in the late 2010s then exploded in 2022 with "Ferrari". His approach blends effective tech house with technical showcases — tight transitions, playing on three or four decks — widely shared on video. Now a safe bet on mainstages, he keeps a tense energy in his sets and a mixing precision that remains his signature.
