The Scottish voice behind "Someone You Loved", now one of the most endearing pop symbols of his generation.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Lewis Capaldi's world.
Born in Glasgow, Lewis Capaldi became in a few years one of the most-streamed pop voices of his generation.
Born in Glasgow in 1996, Lewis Capaldi got noticed on social media before signing a deal that propelled him to the top of the UK charts with his very first single, "Bruises".
His track "Someone You Loved", a heartbreaking ballad that became a worldwide hit, spent seven weeks at number one in the UK in 2019 and then broke through in the United States, making him one of the most-streamed pop artists of his generation.
In 2023, he put his tour on pause to treat Tourette's syndrome and anxiety disorders, a choice made public without detours that earned him huge support from his audience.
His return to the stage, with a raw emotion now openly embraced, confirms that he remains one of the most endearing pop artists of the moment — between big ballads and very Scottish humour between songs.
