The voice behind "Lost on You", now a global hit carried by intense concerts.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape LP's world.
Before breaking through under her own name, LP wrote hits for others — until "Lost on You" became hers, and a worldwide one.
Born Laura Pergolizzi in New York, LP grew up in an Italian-American family and began by writing songs for other artists, including Rihanna and Christina Aguilera, before breaking through under her own name.
Her single "Lost on You" (2016), carried by a husky voice instantly recognisable, became a worldwide phenomenon, number one in a dozen countries, particularly in Eastern and Central Europe.
On stage, she alternates acoustic guitar and ukulele, in committed performances carried by an intense stage presence, closer to rock than to classic pop.
Still active, she keeps playing pop and rock festivals, true to a visual universe of leather jacket, hat and unapologetic punk energy.
