The historic face of trance, at the helm of A State of Trance since 2001.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Armin van Buuren's world.
Since launching A State of Trance in 2001, Armin van Buuren has remained the pillar of global trance.
Active since the mid-1990s, Armin van Buuren first made his name as a trance producer before launching the A State of Trance compilation in 2000, which became in 2001 one of the most listened-to electronic radio shows in the world.
Voted world's best DJ several times in the industry's rankings, he has kept trance alive through changing trends, between progressive productions and uplifting sets built for the big stages.
Beyond his own productions, his ASOT show remains a major platform for new trance producers, which he has kept programming every week for more than twenty years.
On stage, he alternates classics from his catalogue with recent productions, with a recognisable signature: long melodic build-ups before drops designed for huge crowds.
