The voice of Paramore, turned songwriter with a taste for indie pop and folk.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Hayley Williams's world.
Paramore's singer since her teens, Hayley Williams has also built a solo career of her own, more intimate and experimental.
Born in 1988 in Meridian, Mississippi, Hayley Williams grew up in Franklin, Tennessee, where she founded Paramore in 2004 when she was only fifteen.
The band became one of the references of 2000s alternative rock with songs like "Misery Business", then moved towards pop and new wave without ever losing its fan base.
In 2020, she released her first solo album, Petals for Armor, followed by Flowers for Vases / Descansos in 2021: a more muted sound, between indie pop, art rock and folk, written during a period of personal rebuilding.
Whether she sings alone or with Paramore, her powerful voice and stage presence make her a standout figure of modern rock and a regular on the big festival line-ups.
