The San Diego band that mixed metal, reggae and rap without ever denying its faith.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape P.O.D.'s world.
Formed in San Diego, P.O.D. remains one of the few bands to have mixed nu metal and an openly Christian faith without ever preaching.
Formed in San Diego in 1992 under the name Payable on Death, P.O.D. brings together singer Sonny Sandoval, guitarist Marcos Curiel, bassist Traa Daniels and drummer Wuv Bernardo.
The band stands out for a singular mix of metal, punk, reggae and rap, carried by a Christian spirituality that is openly embraced without ever tipping into preaching.
Their album Satellite (2001) and the singles "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation" made them one of the most-streamed mainstream nu metal bands of the early 2000s.
More than thirty years after their formation, they keep touring metal and rock stages around the world, true to their live energy and positive message.
