Good Things Festival 2026

The Good Things Festival festival.
In a nutshell.

Good Things Festival takes place every early December, touring three major Australian cities. Born in 2018 and billed at launch as Australia's biggest music festival since Soundwave, it has established itself as THE rock, metal and punk event in the country. The Melbourne leg, at Flemington Racecourse, opens the tour on Friday, December 4, 2026.

The festival targets the metal, alternative rock and punk crowd directly — a sharper lineup than Australia's big all-genre festivals, in the lineage of Soundwave, whose torch it picked up after that festival ended in 2015.

A one-day urban format at Flemington Racecourse, with no camping: the crowd stays in Melbourne, before the festival continues its tour to Sydney then Brisbane the following weekend.
