Awakenings was born in 1997 from a single Easter techno night, before becoming one of the most respected brands on the global electronic scene — owned by the LiveStyle group since 2015. Alongside its year-round club nights at Amsterdam's Gashouder, the festival holds its flagship open-air edition every summer at Beekse Bergen, a leisure area near Hilvarenbeek, in North Brabant. Three days, several stages, and a reputation for artistic rigour that makes it a benchmark for techno purists.
Awakenings cultivates a firmly techno identity, far from the big all-genre EDM machines — the lineup is curated by and for fans of the genre, with particular care given to the sound and stage design of each stage.
The Beekse Bergen site, a nature and leisure area in the south of the Netherlands, allows on-site camping — most of the crowd comes for the full weekend experience, not just the concerts.

- From Paris, TGV/Thalys to Brussels or Rotterdam, then a regional train to Tilburg, 15 km from the site.
