The biggest festival in the Sud region, on the Prado beaches in Marseille, in late July. Four days facing the Mediterranean, ~150,000 festival-goers, 6 stages spanning electronic and pop, free basic access on registration, and themed villages run by students. Launched in 2015. Next edition July 2027 (dates to be confirmed).
Delta Festival was born in 2015 in Marseille, dreamed up by students who wanted a big event of their own. In ten years, it has become the biggest festival in the Sud region: four days in late July on the Prado beaches, 8 hectares of sand facing the Mediterranean, 6 stages, ~150,000 festival-goers. The lineup blends international electronic DJs with mainstream French pop, with pool parties and afters. Basic access remains free on registration — a premium pass unlocks extra zones and services.
The festival keeps its student, socially engaged DNA: themed “villages” (health, environment, entrepreneurship, student life, arts) offer talks, workshops and activities during the day, alongside the stages. The 2026 edition pushed costumes, with the ambition of becoming France's biggest costumed festival.
This is a beach in the middle of a Marseille summer: 30°C and up, bright sun, the sea within reach. Sun protection, water, a cap and swimwear are essential. The site is at the far end of the Corniche, served by bus and shuttles; most festival-goers stay in the city and head home each night.

Capacity, atmosphere, crowd, hours and on-site budget: the full profile of Delta Festival 2027 before you get your tickets.
Created in 2015 by the Marseille association Des Étoiles et des Idées. In ten years, it has become the biggest festival in the Sud region, without losing its student and grassroots roots.
A lineup ranging from international techno and house DJs (Adam Beyer, Kungs…) to mainstream French pop and rap, with pool parties and afters.
During the day, dedicated spaces offer talks, workshops and meetups around social causes — a direct legacy of the founding student project.
The site occupies the Prado beaches, at the far end of Marseille's Corniche. Swimming possible, sunset over the sea from the stages.
30°C and up, intense sun, glare off the sand. Sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, swimwear, shoes that can handle sand. Bring a light layer for the late-night hours by the sea.
Basic access costs nothing (registration required, limited quotas). The paid premium pass unlocks zones, services and priority access. The real cost is accommodation in Marseille in peak season and spending on site.
