Manchester's big festival, July 10 and 11, 2027 in Heaton Park: two days of electronic, hip-hop and pop, no camping, ten minutes by tram from downtown.
Parklife takes place in July at Heaton Park, a large park in north Manchester, about eight kilometres from downtown. Born in 2010 as the Mad Ferret Festival in a park south of the city, it moved to Heaton Park in 2013 and draws around 82,500 people over two days, according to Wikipedia. Run by The Warehouse Project and Live Nation, it's the UK's big electronic and hip-hop event. The 2027 edition is announced for July 10 and 11; the lineup isn't known yet and tickets are sold out.
Several stages, food stalls, fairground rides, bars and secret spots share the park. The lineup centres on house, techno and hip-hop, with pop, across stages including the Valley Stage and the Panorama Stage. The festival is 17+ (17-year-olds must be with an adult).
It's a no-camping festival: everyone leaves before 11pm and sleeps in Manchester. The park is served by the Bury Metrolink tram line, with a Bee Network shuttle to downtown late in the evening. Everything is cashless. 2027 tickets are already sold out as of the verification date: a registration list is open on the official website.
