The Scottish trio who gave synthpop its big-scale choruses back.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape CHVRCHES's world.
Chvrches pairs dazzling synths with instant choruses, carried by Lauren Mayberry's recognisable voice.
Formed in Glasgow in 2011 by Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty, the trio immediately established a bright, melodic synthpop.
Their first album, "The Bones of What You Believe" (2013), and its track "The Mother We Share", quickly placed them among the most followed electro-pop bands of their generation.
Beyond the music, Lauren Mayberry became known for speaking out publicly against the online harassment faced by women in the music industry.
