The pioneers of German punk, turned guitar institution after more than forty years on stage.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Die Toten Hosen's world.
Die Toten Hosen brought punk rock to the German mainstream, around Campino's voice.
Formed in 1982 in Düsseldorf, the band played its first concert on 10 April 1982 in Bremen. Its singer Campino, real name Andreas Frege, remains the face of the group.
Along with Die Ärzte, it is among the most popular German bands, and one of the few to have exported its music beyond German borders.
The band celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2022. In March 2026, it announced its last studio album, "Trink aus, wir müssen gehen!", forty-four years after its founding.
