The big American all-genre festival at “The Farm,” across 283 hectares in Manchester, Tennessee, in mid-June. Four days, ~45,000 festival-goers, huge on-site camping and a very broad lineup — rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic. Launched in 2002. No 2027 edition (the site is resting after several years of bad weather): return planned for 2028, dates to come.
Bonnaroo was born in 2002 on Great Stage Park, a 283-hectare farm property in Manchester, Tennessee, nicknamed “The Farm” by regulars. Four days in mid-June, ~45,000 festival-goers, a lineup spanning the full range of American music — rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, jam bands — across several stages scattered around the property. Camping is central to the festival's identity: the vast majority of festival-goers live on site for the four days, in an atmosphere often compared to a contemporary mini-Woodstock.
After COVID-related cancellations in 2020 and 2021, then a 2025 edition cut short by heavy rain, the organisers announced a full pause in 2027: the site needs time to recover from several consecutive years of bad weather. The return is planned for 2028, with no dates announced yet — we'll update this page as soon as they are.
The Farm sits deep in the Tennessee countryside: tent camping, car camping, and even a glamping area for those after some comfort. The vibe is communal, with its own traditions (Centeroo, the Silent Disco, the fountains for cooling off). Tennessee's weather in mid-June is hot and humid, with the possibility of summer thunderstorms.
