Lollapalooza's very first international edition (2011), at Parque O'Higgins right in Santiago. Three days, more than 240,000 festival-goers, an all-genre lineup blending global headliners and the Latin American scene. 2027 edition March 12 to 14.
Lollapalooza Chile led the way in 2011: it's the very first international edition of the festival born in Chicago, launched after Perry Farrell announced his plans for global expansion in late 2010. Since then, it has served as the template for every other edition abroad (Argentina, Brazil, Paris, Berlin...). The festival takes place at Parque O'Higgins, right in the heart of Santiago, and draws more than 240,000 festival-goers every year over three days around an all-genre lineup — rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic — blending huge international names with the Chilean and Latin American scene.
Lollapalooza Chile has launched the international careers of several Chilean artists, like Los Bunkers or Ana Tijoux, by giving them direct visibility in front of the crowd that came for the global headliners.
Parque O'Higgins is right in Santiago: no camping, you stay in the city and reach the site by metro or shuttle — one of the easiest festivals on the continent for a foreign visitor to attend.
