Switzerland's biggest open-air festival, July 19 to 25, 2027 in Nyon, on the shores of Lake Geneva: seven exceptional days for the 50th edition, six stages and free camping for ticket-holders.
Paléo takes place every summer in Nyon, on the Plaine de l'Asse, between Lake Geneva and the Jura. Born in 1976 as a small folk festival, based on this site since 1990, it's now Switzerland's biggest open-air festival, voted Europe's Best Major Festival in 2025. A non-profit association run by thousands of volunteers, it celebrates its 50th edition July 19 to 25, 2027, in an exceptional seven-day format.
The lineup is deliberately broad: pop, rock, chanson, rap, electronic, world music. Six stages share the site: the Grande Scène, Vega, the Club Tent, La Ruche, Le Dôme and Belleville, plus a Village du Monde that honours a different region every year. The festival is also known for its family-friendly atmosphere, with free childcare and activities for young people.
Camping is free for ticket-holders, and on-site payment is exclusively cashless (TWINT and cards). The Plaine de l'Asse is a 30-minute walk from Nyon station and 25km from Geneva: an easy festival to reach from neighbouring France, to combine with a stay by the lake.
