Arrive fresh in Carhaix-Plouguer.

France's biggest festival, July 15 to 18, 2027 on the Kerampuilh plain in Carhaix: four days, four stages, a lineup spanning global pop to rap to chanson, and close to 280,000 people.
Les Vieilles Charrues 2027 is the 35th edition, July 15 to 18 in Carhaix, in the heart of Brittany. Four days of concerts on the Kerampuilh plain, four stages, and a deliberately label-free lineup: pop, rap, rock, chanson and world music follow one another on the big Glenmor stage.
Born in 1992 from a party among friends in a field, the festival has become France's most attended — a record 346,000 entries in 2023 — without ever leaving its village. It remains 100% non-profit, run every year by thousands of volunteers, with some of the lowest ticket prices in Europe for a lineup of this scale.
The four stages are named after Breton writers — Glenmor, Kerouac, Grall, Gwernig — and the spirit of the place owes as much to the Kerampuilh plain, the possible rain and the cider as to the evening's headliner. You come for an artist, you stay for the atmosphere.

Four days of concerts, Thursday July 15 to Sunday July 18, 2027. Camping traditionally opens the day before the first day.
2027 ticketing isn't open yet: the festival puts its passes on sale the preceding autumn, only on its official website (ticketing handled by See Tickets), in 1 to 4-day formats. For reference, the 2026 edition ranged from €52 for a 1-day pass to €196 for a 4-day pass. Beware of any resale outside the official platform.
On-site payment is cashless only: bars, food, shops. An account must be created and topped up online before arriving.
The festival campsite is traditionally included with the pass, right next to the site. Pitching your tent is part of the Charrues experience.
The festival has a reception scheme for people with reduced mobility (platforms, dedicated access), to flag with the organisers in advance.
