The Teignmouth trio who turned rock into a stadium spectacle, between riffs, piano and grand flights.
Biography.
The journey and inspirations that shape Muse's world.
Muse blends alternative rock, classical flights and electronics in concerts designed on a large scale.
The band was born in 1994 in Teignmouth, Devon, around Matthew Bellamy (vocals, guitar, piano), Chris Wolstenholme (bass) and Dominic Howard (drums).
Its second album, "Origin of Symmetry" (2001), broadened the instrumentation and drew on classical influences, and earned it a reputation as an energetic live band. "Black Holes and Revelations" (2006), with "Supermassive Black Hole", added electronic and pop touches and opened an international audience to it.
On 13 February 2011, at the 53rd Grammy Awards ceremony, Muse won the Grammy for Best Rock Album for "The Resistance".
