The Grand Est region's big rock and contemporary music festival, early July 2027 on the Malsaucy peninsula near Belfort: four stages between two lakes, up to 130,000 people and free camping.
The 2027 Eurockéennes de Belfort take place in early July on the Malsaucy peninsula, in Sermamagny, between two ponds at the foot of the Vosges mountains. Launched in 1989, it's one of France's oldest rock festivals: four stages, a lineup spanning rock to techno by way of rap and reggae, up to 130,000 people over the weekend and extensive free camping. Exact dates will be confirmed in the fall.
The Eurockéennes were conceived in the late 1980s to bring big rock names to eastern France. The festival has kept that ambition — Radiohead, Arcade Fire and Daft Punk have all played there — while opening up widely to electronic, hip-hop and world music. La Plage stage, by the water, has become one of the summer's most highly regarded electronic spots.
The venue does a lot of the work: a wooded peninsula between the Malsaucy pond and the Véronne pond, with the Vosges ridgeline in the background. In fact, the festival was moved here to protect the capercaillie of the Ballon d'Alsace. Camping, free and included with the ticket, hosts around 15,000 people.
