The indie and pop-rock festival in the grounds of Château de Beauregard, near Caen, in early July. Five days under century-old trees, ~150,000 festival-goers, a sharp, generous lineup, French and international. Launched in 2009. Next edition July 1 to 4, 2027 (19th), with an opening night on June 30.
Festival Beauregard was born in 2009 in the grounds of Château de Beauregard, in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, on the edge of Caen. The venue counts for a lot: 40 hectares of century-old trees, lawns and sculptures, with a fairytale château behind the stages. Over some fifteen editions, the festival has established itself as a major event in the west of France and a benchmark for its lineup — indie, pop and rock, French and international, with a real knack for rising artists. The 2025 edition set an attendance record with 156,000 people.
The experience is that of a “festival in a garden”: you move between stages under the trees, the atmosphere is friendly, the site stays human-scale despite the numbers. Camping is available; many prefer to stay in Caen, 10–20 minutes away, and head home each night.
Early July in Normandy, the weather is fickle: it can be 25°C and sunny or 16°C and rainy, sometimes on the same day. Boots or closed shoes, rain gear and a warm layer are essential — the park turns muddy fast.
