Arrive fresh in Helsinki.

Helsinki's urban festival, August 13 to 15, 2027 in a former power plant: three days, around 150 artists, from indie to electronic and jazz, and 91,000 visitors in 2026.
Flow Festival takes place every August at Suvilahti, a former industrial site in Helsinki, in the Sörnäinen district: a decommissioned power plant whose gasometers now serve as concert venues. Launched in 2004 and held here since 2007, it's Finland's big urban festival: around 150 artists, from indie and pop to soul, jazz and electronic, plus talks, art installations and a genuine food scene. The 2026 edition drew 91,000 visitors. The 2027 edition is announced for August 13 to 15.
The lineup blends international headliners and new discoveries, across several stages occupying the industrial buildings, the courtyard and the gasometers. It's a city festival: no camping, you stay in Helsinki and reach the site on foot, by metro or by tram. Sunday afternoon is “Family Sunday,” the only slot where children are admitted.
The festival is 18+ the rest of the time, with mandatory ID, and everything runs cashless. Re-entry is allowed: you can head out to eat in the city or enjoy Helsinki's harbour before coming back for the evening concerts.

Capacity, atmosphere, crowd, hours and on-site budget: the full profile of Flow Festival 2027 before you get your tickets.
Around 150 artists, between international headliners and new discoveries; no names announced yet for 2027.
Held at Suvilahti since 2007, Flow has been voted Finland's best festival several times (Music & Media Finland, 2009 to 2013).
Suvilahti is a former industrial site in Sörnäinen: gasometers, chimneys and halls turned into venues and stages.
Figure from the official website for the whole of the 2026 edition, around 30,000 a day: our own calculation.
Even in August, Helsinki nights are cool: a jacket, comfortable shoes and rain gear. Umbrellas are banned on site.
No 2027 price seen yet; in 2026, Early Bird cost €239 then €259, and the “luxury” Platinum ticket €419. Add flight and hotel, expensive in August.

Bars, restaurants, spots worth a visit between two shows: enough to fill the gaps in the schedule without improvising on the spot at the last minute.
