Brittany's big metal gathering, from 19 to 22 August 2027 at Kerampuilh near Carhaix: four days, around 17,000 festival-goers a day, free camping and parking with your pass.
Motocultor is Brittany's big metal festival. It takes place every August in Carhaix-Plouguer, in Finistère, at the Kerampuilh site, after leaving Saint-Nolff in 2023. It brings together around 17,000 festival-goers a day, with dozens of metal, hard rock and hardcore punk bands, plus free camping and parking with your pass. The 2027 edition is announced for 19 to 22 August; 19 first names are already known, including Helloween, Halestorm and The Hu.
The biggest names are already here: Helloween, Halestorm, The Hu and Wind Rose at the top, with Kanonenfieber, Dark Funeral, Equilibrium, Sylosis or The Acacia Strain for fans of more extreme sounds. John Bush, Anthrax's former singer, will play the songs of the 1993–2003 period. The festival says this is "only the beginning".
It's a Breton-style "family" festival: free camping with your pass, free parking, a station ten minutes' walk from the site and a shuttle between the municipal campsite and the stage. Payment is by cashless wristband. Bring ear protection and, in Brittany, a windbreaker even in August.

At 6am, a ten-minute journey can feel very long. Pick the right home base now, and the route that leaves you enough energy for the rest.
Flight, train, bus or carpooling: compare the options side by side with your real dates. The idea is to arrive with a bit of battery left — you included.
Bars, restaurants, spots worth a visit between two shows: enough to fill the gaps in the schedule without improvising on the spot at the last minute.
