Nîmes' indie festival, at the Smac Paloma: a tight format capped at 7,000 festival-goers for around thirty international artists on the rise.
Run since 2013 by Nîmes' Smac Paloma, This Is Not A Love Song (TINALS) has established itself as an essential stop on the independent scene. A deliberately tight format — 7,000 festival-goers maximum — for around thirty international artists across four stages.
TINALS bet on an intimate format rather than a big capacity: 7,000 festival-goers maximum, four indoor and outdoor stages, around thirty international artists from 6pm to 2am. The festival is run by Nîmes Métropole's Smac Paloma and the Nîmes association Come On People.
Since 2013, the lineup has favoured rock, pop, folk and urban music in their most independent form, with a deliberate commitment to discovery rather than a race for headliners.
