A cult indie and rock festival in Saint-Malo: stages on the ramparts, the beach and Fort de Saint-Père for its Summer Collection.
Since 1991, La Route du Rock has set up its Summer Collection in Saint-Malo: open-air concerts on the Bon-Secours and Éventail beaches at the foot of the ramparts, then rock nights at Fort de Saint-Père, an 18th-century Vauban fortress.
La Route du Rock has built a reputation as a talent scout for rock and indie, in a setting few festivals can match: Saint-Malo's beaches for daytime concerts, Fort de Saint-Père — an 18th-century Vauban fortress about ten kilometres from the city — for electric nights.
The festival runs two collections a year: the Summer one in Saint-Malo in August, and the Winter one in March between Rennes and Saint-Malo. The 2026 Summer Collection featured Fontaines D.C., Mogwai and Just Mustard for its 34th edition, among others.
